Britney's License Trial Over, Decision To Be Announced Today

Britney's hearing for her driving without a California state license has concluded. The jury, made up of eight women and four men, is currently deliberating and are expected to make a final decision by this afternoon. This morning, Britney's lawyer Michael Flanagan, argued that Britney is "just here [in L.A.] trying to get her kids back."
Flanagan, who contests that Britney will be moving back to Kentwood, Louisiana after custody arrangements have been finalized, told the court: "She's been hospitalized, she's been driven crazy, do you blame her for wanting to go home?" Jamie Spears confirmed the news yesterday that Britney plans to head home to Kentwood during his testimony: "We're here with her kids," he said. "We have visitation rights. We have to stay to augment those rights." Britney, whose ex-husband Kevin Federline has primary custody of their children, will move back to Louisiana once 'we can travel with the kids (out of state) and spend time there,' her father said." If found guilty, Britney could face up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine on the charge of not having a valid license at the time of an August 2007 fender-bender. Stay tuned...
